Most of my time goes into small products and the systems that keep them running without me. The rest goes into reading, arguing with what I read, and writing down whatever survives the argument.
This site is the open half of my notebook. There's no content strategy here. When something I've learned holds up well enough that I'd defend it, it ends up on this page.

How I work
Three slots at a time. Boring systems over heroic sprints. Ship early where the risk is embarrassment, slow down where it's wreckage. Most of what I believe about building is somewhere in these notes, with the reasoning attached so it can be argued with.
If nobody can see the reasoning, nobody can learn the judgment.
